Welcome to the LaKarbah FAQ page. We’ve put together our most common questions from customers, a mix of practical info and the story behind the shelf. If you’ve got a question that’s not answered here, shoot us an email at info@lakarbah.com and we’ll get back to you with 24-48hrs depending on peak busy times.

Ordering and Payments.

How do I place an order?
 Too easy. Just head to our online store, choose from our range, add it to your cart, and check out. The steps are straightforward and secure. All customisation is done the same way, unless you need help - contact us! info@lakarbah.com

What payment methods do you accept?
 We accept all major credit cards and select online payment platforms. Payments are processed safely through Shopify, so you can shop with confidence.


Order and Production Speeds.

Are your products made to order?
Yep, every LaKarbah™ is handcrafted once we receive your order. We make each one from scratch using African Mahogany timber and kangaroo leather, right here in Kununurra, WA. We operate by having blanks in stock and do our final touches when an order is placed. During our busy times there may be a delay of up to 3 to 4 weeks but we will be sure to communicate this to everyone before they place an order. This doesn’t include postage time, so allow a little extra for that as well.

Will it arrive in time for a special event?

Custom orders take a little longer, we aim to get all orders out in a timely manner, if there are any concerns with the order not arriving on time please contact us via email (info@lakarbah.com) and we can work together, trying our best to get this out int time for the special occasion.

Please note that if you have failed to plan ahead and left the order late that is not our teams fault, they will always try their best to get it don and if it is physically not possible we will advise you on this. We will not tolerate any means of abuse as that is not within the La Karbah business plan. Your order can be refunded without question if we see fit.

Shipping and Delivery

What if my order doesn’t arrive?

Australian Orders: If your order doesn’t arrive within 30 days, email us with your order number. If returned due to uncollected items or the wrong address, there’s a $15 reshipping fee.
International Orders: If your order doesn’t arrive within 45 days, contact us with your order number and we will calculate the live return shipping rate.
How long does shipping take?

Wooden version: We ship from remote Western Australia, so it takes a bit longer than metro. After your LaKarbah is made:
You’ll get tracking info the moment it hits the road.

Plastic Version:  This is shipped from our Sydney warehouse and often on the same day. We do this as it is faster for Australian orders and to be honest we don't need a hot sea container sitting in outback Australia. Postage times are less than the wooden version as we are yet to confirm an accurate speed. all we know is that it is quicker.

How do I track my order?
 Once your order ships, you’ll get an email with a tracking link. If it hasn’t shown up or something seems off, just get in touch.

I haven’t received my order. What should I do?
If your LaKarbah is late beyond those estimates, email us at info@lakarbah.com with your order number and we’ll look into it straight away.

Product Quality and Customisation

What materials are used?
Every LaKarbah™ is made from solid African Mahogany and backed with soft kangaroo leather to protect your gear and rig. We don’t cut corners, we provide quality craftsmanship from the bush start to finish. 

Can I customise my LaKarbah?
Absolutely! We offer custom text engraving on all products, names, quotes, whatever means something to you. Or you can order a complete custom LaKarbah, uploading your own design - image must be of high quality, with background removed & be in black and white, for best results. examples; Logo's, Cartoons, Your 4x4! You just need permission and/or ownership of the image you are uploading. We hold no accountability if you breach this understanding.

Do you take custom or bulk orders?
 We sure do! Whether you’re a business, event or a crew looking for custom LaKarbahs, send an enquiry to info@lakarbah.com and we’ll sort something out.

Returns and Exchanges

What’s your return policy?
Since every LaKarbah is made to order, we ask that you check it over when it arrives. If your product has not been customised, you’re welcome to return it within 14 days, but you’ll need to cover the postage costs for the return.
However, customised products can’t be returned or refunded.
If there’s an issue with your customisation, for example, if we engraved the wrong text or image compared to what you submitted, we’ll fix it at no extra cost (including postal charges) But if the mistake came from the design or text you provided, any changes needed to correct it will incur a fee. 

What if my item is damaged or faulty?
No worries, we’ll sort it. Just send us an email with some photos and a description and we’ll organise a replacement or refund where appropriate. You cannot make adjustments to designs or artwork if you have a damaged order, either a refund or exact replacement upon return will be issued. This stops customers from damaging the order themselves to try and get around the return policy. You know who you are! :)

Care and Maintenance

How do I care for my LaKarbah?
 Give it a gentle wipe with a damp cloth when needed. Avoid harsh cleaners and don’t leave it baking in the sun. A light timber oil now and then will keep the African Mahogany looking fresh. We recommend a natural bee's wax polish. 

General Info
Are all LaKarbahs the same?
No way! We use natural timber, every La Karbah® has its own unique grain and tone. No two are alike and that’s part of what makes them so special.

Will it scratch my car?
Not at all. The back is lined with kangaroo leather, which grips well without leaving a mark. It’s designed with your rig in mind. Just ensure you have wiped down the surfaces before use! Sand and grit may cause scuff marks if used on a dirty surface!

Do you offer wholesale?
Yes! only for the plastic version at the moment, If you’re a stockist or brand interested reach out to info@lakarbah.com with a few details and we’ll get chatting. The wooden version is yet to become available for wholesale opportunities, we recommend a collaboration package which we are happy to openly discuss. reach out either way!
